Mo Mowlam tribute
Mo was one of my closest Parliamentary friends.
We came to the House of Commons together in 1987, and I had the pleasure
of working as her deputy in Northern Ireland, in Opposition and in Government.
She was an outstanding Secretary of State for Northern
Ireland – without her, there would have been no Good Friday Agreement.
The peace process and the people of Northern Ireland owe her a great
deal, as do we all in the Labour movement.
