Response from Paul Murphy on IRA Statement

I welcome the IRA statement on the ending of paramilitary activity and decommissioning. I would congratulate all those involved, including my successor Peter Hain, on all the hard work that they have put in to the negotiations.

However, it is important that these words are matched by deeds. I strongly welcome the fact that the IMC will meet in January in order to verify that actions have followed this statement.
