May 23rd is National Tackling Drugs Day 2007

Paul Murphy has today shown his support for National Tackling Drugs Day 2007.

National Tackling Drugs Day highlights the work that is done at a local level to tackle the nuisance of drugs.

Paul Murphy MP said: “I have seen the devastating impact that drug abuse can have on individuals, families and communities.”

“I welcome National Tackling Drugs Day as an opportunity to highlight the good work that is done tackling the scourge of illegal drugs. Take the hard-working Police Officers leading the fight against those who make money from drugs. The people working to educate and inform young people to help them avoid drug abuse also deserve our thanks.”
