Paul Murphy opens Victim Care Unit in Cwmbran
Paul Murphy has today opened Victim Support's new Victim Care Unit in Llantarnam, Cwmbran.
Speaking after opening the unit, which will enable more victims than ever to receive help from Victim Support, Paul Murphy said: "I was very pleased to be able to officially open this new facility. It is fantastic that we have something like this in our area, providing a vital service for victims of crime."
"I am glad that the Government has put money into supporting victims, but recognise that as well as money, the dedication of groups like Victim Support and their staff is vital."
"Victim Support do a great job, from practical help for victims to emotional support and advice, and I understand how important it is for victims to have someone to turn to. It was also good to see modern technology being put to good use helping people in this way."
