Murphy meets Minister on future of Police College Site

Paul Murphy has met Prisons Minister David Hanson MP about the future use of the former police training college at Greenmeadow, Cwmbran.

“I recently met David Hanson in North Wales and thanked him for his decision on the new prison site for Wales. We talked about the importance of ensuring a proper use for the training college site, bearing also in mind what the local plan for Cwmbran envisages for this area.

“I will now meet with Cllr Bob Wellington, Leader of Torfaen County Borough Council to discuss this very important issue. I know that local residents are anxious that a speedy but appropriate decision will soon be made”, said Mr Murphy.
